What started out to be a 28-room property has now developed into a 64-room green hotel with a restaurant, function and meeting rooms and an Executive Lounge. Conveniently located right across one of the biggest malls in Davao City- SM City Davao in Ecoland, the hotel enjoys a stable occupancy coming from business and leisure travelers. On its 9th year of operations, Home Crest Hotel management and staff aims to continue the simple green, environment-friendly practices as it is expecting to cater to more guests, such as putting power saving reminders near light switches, to major energy conservation projects like the use of solar water heaters for the hot water requirements of the guests. These practices form part of the owners’ and the company’s advocacy and, at the same time, Home Crest Hotel is a proud member of the Zero Carbon Resort program. The hotel owners have personally stayed true to their dedication on this advocacy of implementing environmentally-friendly practices not only in their businesses but also in their own households as well.
On the 28th of August 2019, during the hotel’s 9th anniversary, the company also launched the newly constructed Amethyst function room with a thanksgiving mass at 9 o’clock in the morning. Attended by its employees, stakeholders, service providers, and suppliers, the mass, officiated by Fr. RitzchieGamalong, was followed by a simple lunch prepared for everybody.
To cater to the growing demand of both government and corporate guests for their function room requirements, Home Crest Hotel introduces its new function room named Amethyst, conveniently located at the ground floor of the hotel. Amethyst is a 54 square meter function room that can accommodate 30-40 guests. The function room Amethyst was named after a gem stone, the hotel’s way of naming its function rooms such as the Pearl, Ruby, Topaz, and Aquamarine function and meeting rooms.
With this new addition to its property portfolio, Home Crest Hotel aims to continue its commitment to serve its guests in a way that they would feel the comforts of home.
